All are welcome. We hope to see you there!

Children's Sunday School begins at 9:30 AM during the regular school year.

Worship Services begin at 10:30 AM at our temporary location at Central Park Elementary School in Plantation, FL. Childcare is available during service. A Children's Fellowship hour runs concurrently with the adult worship service. Age appropriate structured activities are provided for young children who do not wish to remain in the sanctuary with their family.

Directions to the sanctuary along with a map are here.

We have a number of programs scheduled during the week including adult religious education classes and family-oriented social activities.

Worship is the one time in every week when River of Grass gathers as a community. The life of any congregation certainly extends beyond its Sunday morning worship, but worship is that opportunity for us to be together as a whole. It is also our most public face, our expression of who we are: what we value, what we believe, who we hope to be.

The traditional root meaning of worship, literally "to give worth to," corresponds to what a River of Grass worship service is. In worship we seek to shape the meaning of our days through being attentive to what comprises our lives: our joys and our sufferings, our fears and our hopes, our losses and our loves. Both intellect and affect are addressed in our worship, and our time together should afford us the opportunity for laughter and tears, as well as thought. At River of Grass we worship with an eye to the society in which we live, for any worship divorced from the larger world is irrelevant, but also with an eye to the mysterious, barely understood universe in which we dwell, for worship must also feed our desire for transcendence and our capacity for awe.

The order of service for River of Grass is based upon the elements of traditional Jewish and Christian worship: hymns, readings, prayer, and sermon. We also have a time of remembrance and reflection, when those gathered in worship may make known their hope or grief through candle lighting and written expression. As River of Grass is a Unitarian Universalist congregation, our message is eclectic and inclusive, offered in a spirit of acceptance and love.
