The charge of the Membership Committee is to reach out to those in our community who are searching for a progressive religious home. We are responsible for greeting visitors at Sunday services, and following up their visit with letters or phone calls. We also sponsor events to help visitors, friends, and new members get to know River of Grass better and become involved in the life of the congregation in whichever way is most meaningful for them. We are excited and proud that River of Grass membership has grown by over 70% since we began meeting weekly in the fall of 1998. Our goal is to continue this dynamic growth, as we continue to deepen our bonds to one another.

Service may include working with established community service agencies or developing projects unique to our own congregation. Further, issues of "social justice" may be addressed through the Unitarian-Universalist Association's national agenda or our own regional association. The Committee enthusiastically welcomes all new members to participate and bring new ideas to help us create meaningful and fulfilling experiences. Read More
